Shards of moonlight are falling
Rains quench the ground
Goddess dreamlike is calling
Scarred burial mound
Stolen lives coat her fingers
Glyphs as goodbyes
Every bleach-soaked stain lingers
Cenotaphs in the sky
Lay me down in the mud
Flesh and bone disease
Broken and unseen
And if I should never wake
A fossilized mistake
Banished to a place
Devoid of grace and sanctity
Splintered sun dimly dawning
Painting black figurines
Feeding mad hellmouth yawning
Death mask cast in chlorine
Dead flowers in the garden
Clouds of ash drift by
History is forgotten
Never asking why
Lay me down in the mud
Flesh and bone disease
Broken and unseen
And if I should never wake
A fossilized mistake
Banished to a place
Devoid of grace and sanctity
Peril flows through my hand
Unconfined, bleeding sky
Entombed in my own head
Calcified in my mind
All is lost in the end
Pulses bind, intertwined
Towers fall, pierce the sand
Undermined, breaking time
All is lost in the end
Pulses bind, intertwined
Towers fall, pierce the sand
Undermined, breaking time

As amazing as their first album was (Father of Time), this one is even better.
Gnome produces genius-level guitar work and you've got to hear it!
They claim they're on a quest for the golden riff, but if they haven't already reached it and gone on to look for platinum, my ears must be deceiving me. Richard Lewis
OMG, late to the party but this is some of the best occult infused doom stoner tackle I've ever heard. Reference points include Sabbath (obvs), especially with the Ozzy-esque vocals but there's also the melodiousness of early Heep mixing with a more contemporary occult rock sound. It starts in the 70's and makes it to the present day. The riffs are huge but it's their way with a hook that elevates this from your average doom/stoner fare. Very wonderful indeed! egg-magoo
This album is a concentrate of energy. No song is boring, on the contrary each one renews the pleasure. Each song is a classic stoner surprise. Addictive album! Pumpkin Thierry
Combining crooned murder ballads with raw, angsty hard rock hooks, Melbourne's The Ugly Kings are a wrecking crew well worth watching. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 15, 2021
